The Remember Framework

The new leadership pamphlet that tells you the truth: you haven't lost your skills. You've lost yourself. Here's how to find your way back.

After 25 years, here's my bet.

My 25 year bet on courage.

My name is Justine Froelker.

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor, keynote speaker, two-time TEDx speaker, and author of 14 books, including five Amazon bestsellers.

And I'm going to tell you something the leadership industry doesn't want to say out loud.

Most leaders aren't struggling because they lack skill. They're struggling because they've lost themselves.

I've spent 25 years watching brilliant, capable people burn out, not from working too hard, but from working as someone they're not.

And I built the framework that helps them find their way back.

In my work, I've sat with thousands of leaders.

And I've noticed the same pattern every single time.

Take the following:

Most

LEADERS CAN'T NAME THEIR CORE VALUES WITHOUT STOPPING TO THINK ABOUT IT

70%

OF LEADERS FEEL DISCONNECTED FROM THEIR OWN VALUES AT WORK

1 in 2

LEADERS EXPERIENCE SIGNIFICANT BURNOUT IN ANY GIVEN YEAR

Nearly all

DESCRIBE PERFORMING A VERSION OF THEMSELVES RATHER THAN ACTUALLY LEADING

Almost ALL

EVENTUALLY WONDER IF THEY'VE BECOME SOMEONE THEY DON'T RECOGNIZE

The most honest answer is this:

They never learned how to lead from who they actually are.

Values are the lifesource of a leader.

When you can't name yours, you can't lead from them. You lead from pressure instead. From expectation. From whatever the room needs you to be that day.

That pressure creates the exhaustion. Not the workload.

So why are leaders losing themselves?

Why is it that some leaders keep showing up whole, grounded, and clear, even in hard seasons?

And others, just as talented and just as committed, slowly disappear into the role?

On this page, I'm going to show you why.

The Leader Who Went Through This Work Three Times

Meg is what I call an early adopter.

She has gone through the Courage is Built Here curriculum with me not once, not twice, but three times.

She was telling me about a coaching program she recently completed. Part of it involved creating a Life Timeline — plotting the highs and lows of your life on one long stretch of paper.

As she described hers, she mentioned that doing the courage work with me and learning her core values was one of the highs on her timeline.

I stopped her mid-story.

"Wait. Did you just say this work made your Life Timeline?"

She smiled. "Of course it did."

And then I cried. She cried. We laughed about crying.

But here's something I've learned after 25 years of this work:

Getting leaders results does you no good if they don't
know who they are.

This is why the most capable leaders end up exhausted.

They don't burn out from working too hard.

They burn out from working as someone they're not.

One compromise at a time. One season of survival at a time. One year of putting the mission above the person carrying the mission.

And then one day they look up and wonder where they went.

The leaders who stay whole, who keep showing up grounded and clear even in hard seasons, aren't stronger or more disciplined than the ones who don't.

They just know who they are.

And they've learned how to come back to it.

Here's what's actually happening.

Most leadership development skips the most important step.

It goes straight to skills. Strategies. Systems. Communication frameworks and productivity tools and vision exercises.

None of that is bad. And yet none of it works if the person doing it has lost themselves.

You cannot lead well from a place of disconnection. You cannot sustain courage you don't recognize as your own. You cannot live values you've never named.

That's the gap. And that's what The Remember Framework is built to close.

What most programs offer

More skills on top of a shaky foundation

What The Remember Framework does

Rebuilds the foundation itself

Most programs will tell you to just add the skill. Just do the thing.

And yet it keeps not working.

Because the foundation was never the problem.

You were never the problem.

The Remember Framework starts where every other program skips.

The framework that brings you home.

I've worked with leaders for 25 years. Across healthcare, education, corporate, and nonprofit. In rooms with executives and educators and people who look like they have it all together and people who have finally stopped pretending.

The pattern is always the same.

It is never about skill. It is always about the roots.

That's where The Remember Framework comes in.

I've taken everything I know about what it means to lead from who you actually are and put it into a pamphlet you can read in one sitting.

It's not a productivity system. It's not a habit tracker. It's the map back to yourself.

And I'm not going to ask you for $10,000 to access it. I'm only going to ask you for $3. You're probably wondering why it's so cheap.

How come only $3?

There are leadership courses online for thousands of dollars.

You might be wondering why this is $3.

Here's the honest answer.

This pamphlet is not a watered-down version of the work. It's the most important piece of it.

I'm pricing it this way because I want the right people to find it. Leaders who are ready to do something different. Not leaders looking for another thing to buy and set on a shelf.

If that's you, $3 is nothing.

If it's not, that's okay too.

This pamphlet is written for
you if...

Which one are you?

  • You're exhausted in a way that rest doesn't fix.
  • You're good at your job and yet it doesn't feel like enough.
  • You've started wondering if this is just who you are now.
  • You're ready to find your way back.

This is not just a pamphlet about leadership. It's a pamphlet about coming home.

And coming home means learning how to lead from who you actually are.

If you want to keep adding skills on top of a shaky foundation, there are plenty of programs for that.

If you want to rebuild the foundation itself, to remember who you are, name what you value, and lead from that place, I wrote this for you.

What You'll Find Inside

  • The most exhausted leaders aren't burned out from working too hard. They're burned out from working as someone they're not. (pg. 10)
  • The five universal foundations every person already has and why most leaders have never been taught how to root into them. (pg. 11)
  • Your values don't need to be discovered. They need to be remembered. (pg. 20)
  • The difference between your core values and your universal foundations and why confusing them keeps you stuck. (pg. 19)
  • Why discipline-based self-leadership almost always fails and the one foundation that makes it sustainable. (pg. 5)
  • The three-stage journey every leader has to take to get back to themselves and why most skip straight to stage three. (pg. 13)
  • Why the hardest conversations you're avoiding at work are almost never about the thing they appear to be about. (pg. 25)
  • What it actually means to lead from love and why it's the most courageous and least talked-about leadership skill. (pg. 5)
  • The root system metaphor that will change how you think about personal resilience forever. (pg. 13)
  • What restored actually looks like and why it's not the same as going back to who you were before. (pg. 18)
